Halloween exchange

Wartune has some decent exchanges lately, and also they give out a lot of free chests. So it seems we are again in some kind of a golden age :) It's hard to decide how to use the chests. Lately, they always have a normal exchange, and some premium exchange, with extra items, like now:

Previously, they gave 120 beads for 30 chests, which was already a great deal (4 bead for 1 chest), now this is even better, 7 bead for 1 chest. If you low on influence, grab this deal, it's far the best. However, if your influence is already decent (lvl 15+) then don't do this. Wild shop and guild battle prize giving a lot of free beads, so it's just a matter of months before you maximize your influence anyway, and then beads will be a dead weight.
If you are a relatively new player with low runes, the 2000 runestones is a good deal too. For some veterans, 2000 whip is useful too, because whip is never enough - but please note that this deal is far from exceptional, they often sell the whips for 2 balen apiece.
If none of the above is an option for you, and you have a few hundred chests, I say just open them. The contents are fair (cloth shards, lvl 3 gems) and there is a good chance you can grab a full set of the new cloth. I was wondering for a while to either get whips or open chests, but I will rather open.

Skeleton chest analysis

As usual, I post an entry about the current chest exchange, sorry for that. For this chest, again we have some nice options. Instead of going into complex analysis this time, I will just tell you how was I thinking, and what conclusion did I get.

Let's see what are the possible prizes:

Bony dragon, +150 mount. This is really cool. But how much does it actually worth? You can refine a +150 mount only 5 times like a +50 mount, so it's real value is only double of that of a +50 mount. Since the ancient beast shard / beast soul era, I put mount prices at 1/3 of their original sale price, so this one worth approx. 7000 balens. (But the extra title further increases the prize by at least 1k.)

Beads of influence. Another cool item, and not so easy to get. In the past events, where people were opening chests, hoping for luck, I exchanged them for beads instead. As a result, I can stun 99% of the people for 3 rounds and win fast and easily. So do not underestimate the power of influence - but be aware, eventualy all will max it, so it will become useless. I would say, if your bead level is only like 5-8, you really need more. If its 15+, you are okay, you don't need more.

Divine energy. Upgrading a purple halidom / artifact to orange can be an awesome BR boost. Not only because of the stat increase, but also because of the extra gem slot, refine stat, and option to holy forge. And you never ever will collect enough of these from eternal forest nightmare. So this is also a top exchange. However, be aware of 2 things: this item - although you need a lot - has a limited use. After you upgraded both item to orange, it will be total junk. Also, we expect eternal forest "hell" with next patch: where divine energy might be more common.

Let's see the possible action:

1.) Open your chests, and hope for the mount. Bad idea! Based on previous chest statistics, chance for mount is only 0,1%: which - in case of a 7+1k mount - adds only 8 balen to the expected value of this 39 balen chest. All the other contents are crap. Even if you are a free player who gathered only 60 chest, I recommend go for an exchange, get the beads, and don't risk. 

2.) Exchange all chests for beads of influence. This is a really good deal, if your influence is still low, and you get stunned frequently.

3.) You have a good influence, and a nice amount of free chests, like me - I collected about 450 free chests from last week's event. If you are a free player or light casher, I recommend you simply exchange your chests for divine energy. But if you are willing to spend some balens, this might be the moment - to get a kickass mount, or upgrade artifact to orange. This is what I did after a long thinking:

I used a 2k coupon from mail, to buy 129 chests for 3k balens. Then I claimed another coupon from hot events, bought 129 more, then 129 more. Finally, I used a 200 coupon to buy 31 more chests. I claimed the rewards in all 3 spender events, so I had 1030 chests, and 300 extra divine energy.

My dilemma was, orange artifact, or mount. About divine energy, I could have ended up with 1500 of those. A bit too much, I feel that more and more of these will come in free events. About the mount, if I don't spend any balens, I could have had 450 divine energy. Now, with 10k balens spent, I could have a 7k balen mount, 530 divine energy, 120 beast souls, and a title with decent extra BR. So I choose the mount.

Aerial Fleet chest analysis

Here is the usual analysis of the current Wartune chest exchange. This time we got plenty of free
chests, and there are some good exchanges around too for "Aerial Fleet chest".

First of all, let's check the chest contents:
Blood of Zeus - I maxed my eudaemon, and never spent balen on it, so this is still junk.
Eudaemon Skill Chest - you can buy it for gold in guild shop, so it's junk.
Ice core, soul core - junk, divine energy is the problem , not this.
Green flame - limited use, but you certainly don't want to open an item sold for 20 balen from a chest which is sold for 39.
And the rest - cloth, mount - are rares, usual rarity is 0,1% for each. So you will get one useful item for every 200 chest. I recommend do not open chests, but exchange them in hot events.


There are the worthwhile exchanges:
1. Cloth. Since it's S quality, it can give a decent BR boost. After some thinking, I bought all 3 pieces. The weapon is not so great to a mage, but the game is rather BR contest in many areas than an actual player power contest. The wing also worth mentioning. At 120 chest, it's just too expensive, even when S quality. However, you should be aware there is a title associated with owning all 4 pieces, giving additional boost. So it's almost a good buy. Still, I didn't buy this, I hope to get it cheaper in the future.

2. Franken rabbit. You know I'm a mount-fan, and I always went for mounts in any chest exchange. But with the introduction of beast shards, there is a high probability I can get this mount later, significantly cheaper.

3. Beads of influence. The new stun in the game is very annoying. I know that whales can beat me, still, I hate not having a chance. Previously, if I had the right resist, I could beat big spenders, but not anymore. So for me, pumping up influence is a high priority. And now I found this an okay deal, I even spent balens to buy additional chests: I bought 129 chests, which would cost 5k balens, and used a 2k coupon to reduce it to 3k balens. I got back the coupon, which I used to buy another bunch, then another bunch. So for 9k balens, I got 1300 beads of influence (+300 influence). 


4. Titan stones and shards. As always, the leftover chests I spend on getting these to put the free shards ("Fleet medals") to use. Along with what I got from last CW, I got my first mythic equipment, thx to this. I did not want to make mythic stuff until I had one equipment with max holy forge - which took some time since I refuse to pay balens on vulcan packs. But now I read on forum that even if your holy forge is not maxed, you can make it, since you can continue to do the old type holy forge first. So maybe I will go for more - but don't forget, most of the BR gain from this item comes from holy forge getting upgraded too. I got +12k BR but with minimal holy forge, it would have been much less.

Unlimited eudaemon synthesis event
This can be interesting too. Maybe you are wondering, if it is better to buy a bunch of diamonds instead of fleet chests, make the diamonds, and get a lot of chests in the process. Here is a calculation:
Let's say you buy 600 edaemon diamond chests (200 at a time, for 3400 balen instead of 5400 with a 2k coupon, and you repeat this 2 more times). 
You will get approx. 300 lvl 1 diamonds, 150 lvl 2 diamonds, 100 lvl 3 diamonds, 45 lvl 4 diamonds and 5 lvl 5 diamonds (actual numbers may vary!)

So instead of getting 387 chests (see above), you can get 253 chest AND 20 lvl 7 eudaemon diamonds. So effectively, you exchange a bit less than 7 aerial fleet chest for one lvl 7 eudaemon diamond. Pretty good deal - unless you are already full of lvl 7 diamonds, like me (and for me it cost only 3k balens). Of course, lvl 8 diamonds will come eventually, also there might be team events for multiple eudaemons in the future - but by then, maybe the diamonds will get even cheaper. It's all gamble, like everything in Wartune :)

Beware of flash sales

Wartune is running so-called "flash sales" lately, which are supposed to be a great deal. But don't fall to them! Initially, flash sales counted for spender events, but not anymore. Since there are usually multiple spender events running, you can get 20-30% or more bonus to your spendings in form of items. When you don't get this in flash sale, it will be worse than a usual sale. Here is this particular "pearl":

10 balen / bead, great sale? Then see the plain regular shop item:

You can buy 30 Aerial Fleet Chest for 1170 balens, and exchange it for 100 beads of influence, and claim all the bonus packs. But if you saved up some discount coupons, you can get a much better deal. Which won't work for the flash sale - since the coupon applies to a 2k balen purchase, and they sell it for 1999 :)

I'm not saying you should buy beads of influence, but it is an important item. It's a cash-only since it came into the game, and without it, your are stunned for rounds in pvp. But it gets cheaper every month. And one day it will start flowing into the game for free, and it will rot in your inventory after you maxed it out :)

If you were super-smart, then you waited with activating your Ancient Treasure until the 2nd day, and claimed both big and epic spender 10k rewards for completely free. So thats like 90 free chests, 300 free beads of influence... I messed this up, used ancient treasure before the patch. But I think this is the reason why I still keep playing: because I have to pay attention, I can make mistakes. I can be better than others, because they make even more mistakes :)

Titan Shop and interstellar ball exchange

Wartune's new arena class-wars, Titan War is over, and now the obvious question is, what to buy for your titan crystals.

First of all, don't choose item which you can get in large number for free:
soul seal, beredin's wine, will crystals, gling of magic, magical moonlight, honor (medallion). I would also put turquise, blue crystalloid and red copper here. Although these items don't came in large numbers, you still get the for free in dimensions, you need only a limited number, and they are way too overprices.

Azure Deer card would be cool: but unless you are top in Warlords hall, you won't get it. Maybe you think it's worth spending some extra balen on wager to buy it. But I say, just keep wagering - eventually you will win and you can buy it then.

Titan Iron shard and stone shard: getting a mythic equipment would be cool, but these seem to me very expensive. From the 3k titan crystals I got, I could have bought only 25-25 of each: where I need 300-300 for just one item. So I rather hope to collect these from sacrifice and other sources. Same for the mythic specific vulcan stuff.

Blessing of god: seems to expensive as well (otherwise it would be good choice).

So the only viable choices which remain are empire truncheon and bead of influence. These items are cash only since many months, give very good bonuses you can't get other way (intensity and influence), and have good price. If your medal is still low, I recommend you buy empire truncheons. If you need 1600 or more for one upgrade, prolly the beads of influence will make a bigger difference for you.

Interstellar ball exchange
First, about beast shards. It seems you get an average of 1 beast shard per chest opened. In Golden Road, you can get beast shards for 15 balen apiece (or even cheaper if you are lucky). Btw I checked this, and it still works, I spent 7k balen in Golden Road, and collected 457 beast shards (and along with the recharge bonus and the shards I had remaining, I could buy all 6 mounts I missed).

Here is the statistics of the free interstellar ball chest statistics I collected from people who opened:

As you see, this chest have useful items (warpatch stuff besides the mount) and also the occassional beast shard increases the value. Still, its very bad value. But the exchange items are the same as the ones you can get by opening, so there is really no difference in those. There are 2 exceptions:
titan shards, and the mount itself.

The titan shards are good, but you are limited by the weapon scraps. So prolly its okay to get those for your weapon scraps.
About the mount, if you can't get 300 balls for free, dont buy, thats obvious. If you can get 300 for free, the question is, exchange, or gamble and open.

Actually, its almost the same. In golden road, now you can get mounts for 1/3-1/4 price. So now a +60 mount worth only about 4k balens. A 4k mount with 0,1% chance increases the chest value by 4 balens. So average chest value is 14 balens. If you open 300 chests, expected value is 4200 balens. But if you don't get mount, it will be only 3000, if you get it, it will be more. So if you can get 300 free chest, I say you better exchange than gamble. But if you don't get 300, don't buy more chest, go for the gamble.
